Sink or Float?

The students enjoyed conducting the Sink or Float experiment! Prior to the experiment we learned about the scientific method and safety precautions. The students conducted the experiment in the science lab. At the beginning of the experiment the students created a hypothesis (prediction). Would the items sink or float? The students then conducted the experiment. During the experiment they found that the pennies and marbles did not float. The paper cups and straws floated.
