Sergeant Johnson and Officer Lawson Visit OES

Our class has been studying community helpers and how they play a role in our community. Each student chose a community helper to research. After the research was completed the students created 3 questions to ask their specific community helper. You can see the students researching their community helpers in the pictures below.

 Today the students that researched police officers had the special privilege of asking Sergeant Johnson and Officer Lawson the questions they created. All of our first grade friends learned about the roles police officers play in our community. Below are some pictures that captured this first-hand learning experience.
